Through synchronising their operations with the customers’ demands, they have considerably reduced cost and simultaneously improved service to their global customer base.

A vacancy now exists for a Sales & Marketing Director to spearhead the commercial strategy, and the role will clearly evolve as the focus for future sales and service solutions are defined for the domestic and export markets. The opportunity for organic expansion is huge and reporting directly to the Managing Director, your role is to lead and manage a sales, marketing and customer service team in order to maximise the profitable sales revenue. This will be achieved through analysing useful market and competitive intelligence, winning business from the competition, establishing new channels and distributor networks and defining new market sectors to name a few approaches.

To excel in this role you will be of graduate calibre, already achieving success as a Sales & Marketing Director or Head of a Commercial Division with an established technical, commercial and product marketing background within the Manufacturing / Engineering sectors. More specifically you will understand the NPI process, ideally have a breadth of knowledge in pricing and selling precision engineered products for use in safety critical, industrial environments and possess a relevant background in technical solution sales to diverse global markets.

With proven capability in delivering major improvements in business performance, through building sales teams and leading the sales growth, you will be a natural motivator with the ability to coach others to achieve higher levels of performance. As well as demonstrating leadership skills, you will understand relationship selling, having previously developed key accounts directly with blue chip organisations, identified and managed a distributor network and driven channel sales whilst having a passion to deliver first class customer service for internal and external customers. An appreciation of Aftermarket Sales and Service is desirable.

A self-motivated individual with strong analytical, negotiation, communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills is sought. You will be naturally tenacious, a hunter driven by business success and have a passion for marketing, networking, direct selling, channel sales, distributor development and coaching people to achieve outstanding sales performance. You will have the ability to quickly analyse complex situations and be an effective problem solver, whilst operating a results focussed, professional and well organised approach.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Sales & Marketing professional to influence an expanding, diverse organisation by taking ownership of the implementation of the global commercial processes and driving these forward. In return you will receive a 6 figure package including incentivised bonus, car allowance, health care, life assurance and pension. Flexibility is required for travel.
